Matthew embarked on his professional journey in the motor trade, kick-starting his career as a vehicle parts apprentice with Ness Motors Renault. Over the course of his four-year apprenticeship, Matthew honed his technical expertise while simultaneously developing a strong foundation in customer service and aftersales. Seeking new challenges, Matthew joined Bannerman SEAT in 2013 as a Parts Manager. In this role, he further expanded his skill set, taking on responsibilities for departmental costs and consistently achieving and surpassing targets. Building on his accomplishments at Bannerman SEAT, Matthew transitioned to Parks Motor in 2017 as a Parts Supervisor. Here, he thrived in a fast-paced environment and successfully managed a larger team, gaining invaluable experience and expertise.
In 2021, Matthew's desire for new horizons led him to make a significant career change away from the motor trade. He joined Search Consultancy as an Associate Consultant and quickly made an impact, earning a promotion to Senior Consultant within 11 months. Matthew's performance in running a HGV driving desk cemented his reputation as a professional recruiter across the Highlands and Aberdeenshire. In 2022, Matthew brought his expertise to C&P Recruitment, a local company, as a Senior Consultant. Here, he demonstrated his versatility by successfully managing a diverse range of sectors.
Now as a Senior Consultant at Be Personnel, Matthew plays a crucial role in recruiting for a wide array of positions in the industrial and driving sectors. He leverages his expertise to conduct candidate interviews and ensures that Be Personnel consistently recruits the highest quality candidates. Matthew also excels in selling Be Personnel's services to clients throughout the North of Scotland and maintains strong relationships with current clients through regular visits.
Outside of his professional endeavours, Matthew is an avid football enthusiast. Whether he's watching his favourite team live or enjoying a variety of football matches, the sport plays a huge part of his life. In his spare time, Matthew also enjoys going on leisurely walks with his 2-year-old Cocker Spaniel, Barney.
