Recruitment Manager

Kirsty Mearns is a seasoned Recruitment Manager with over 18 years of experience in the industry. She started her career at M&H Carriers working within the Transport office as Office Manager, before moving to Driver Hire as a Recruitment Consultant, working her way up to the Office Manager. She then worked as a Senior Recruitment Consultant for Global Highland, followed by joining Be Personnel, where she is now the Recruitment Manager for the North Division.

Kirsty's job role involves overseeing recruitment across various sectors, including industrial, transport and logistics, commercial, food, temp, and perm recruitment. Her geographic area covers the whole of the Highlands and Islands and between Inverness and Aberdeen. A typical day involves sifting through applications, conducting telephone interviews, and liaising with clients to organise interviews and offers. She also provides 24-hour on-call support to her temp clients, manages client and candidate paperwork, takes inbound calls, and carries out advertising and reporting tasks.

An interesting fact about Kirsty is that she started working at the age of 12 in a Fish and Chip shop and has worked every day since. This led to her being able to purchase her first property at the age of 20. Kirsty is a mother of two boys and loves spending time with them. She also enjoys walking and exploring the beautiful Scottish Highlands in her free time.
