Millions of people around the UK experience stress, the feeling of being under too much mental or emotional pressure, which is damaging to our health and wellbeing. For example, at some point in the last year, 74% of us have felt so stressed that we have felt unable to cope (Mental Health Foundation).
As it is National Stress Awareness Day, which occurs annually on the first Wednesday in November, we would like to take this opportunity to give a shoutout to our colleagues who have completed Mental Health First Aider training by Emma Tomes of The Helpful Coach.
Our MHFA's are points of contact if someone within our business (or within the wider portfolio we are part of), is experiencing a mental health issue or emotional distress. They are not therapists or psychiatrists, but they can provide initial support and direct to appropriate help if required.
Our MHFA's are: Claire Cookson, Kirsty Mearns, Monika Wojciechowska, Chris Kennerley and Kseniya Raychinova.
