Be Personnel has immediate opportunities available for a Quality Controller to work with our Client, one of the largest seafood companies in the world and the largest producer of Atlantic salmon!

Shifts available:

  • 06.00 – 18.30 on a 2-2-3 pattern, (Monday and Tuesday working, off Wednesday and Thursday, Friday Saturday and Sunday working. Week 2, Off Monday and Tuesday, working Wednesday and Thursday and off Friday Saturday Sunday)

The successful candidate will need to:

  • Ensure that all start up checks have been carried out by production team before production line is permitted to commence, and that any issues raised have been reported to relevant department.
  • Quality inspection of products against product specification & quality standards.
  • Audits of quality and food safety checks and paperwork being completed by production, including but not limited to label checks, metal detector checks, weight checks, machine start up checks, traceability and temperature.
  • Sample collection from every production run
  • Checking product safety, legality and quality at the start and end of the production run and regularly throughout the production run.
  • Identification of non-conforming product and processes and ensuring that Quality Technician and/or Quality Manager are informed as soon as possible.
  • Supporting production operatives and team leaders to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, Health and Safety and Food Hygiene Standards

The successful candidates will:

  • Ideally have experience of working within a food processing environment, however candidates who have manual work experience from within other industries will be considered as training will be provided
  • Be reliable and punctual with an excellent work ethic
  • Thrive working within a fast paced and deadline driven environment
  • Have a degree of physical capability due to the manual nature of the work
  • Be flexible with their working hours as shifts can change dependent on business needs
