Full Time and Temporary to Permanent

£15.00 per hour

Our client one of the largest road maintenance companies across Scotland are looking for HGV Drivers/ Highway Maintenance Operatives based within the Inverary area.

PLEASE NOTE ACCOMMODATION IS NOT PROVIDED.

This role will always be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, OT and on call rota.

Main duties:

• Winter maintenance duties including fitting gritter body and blade, driving gritter and spread salt by hand if required
• Ensuring that designated road is kept clear and safe at all times for those having to make essential journeys
• Carriageway patching and traffic management
• Drainage works and footway improvements
• Prepare written returns including fault report details.

The ideal Driver:

• Will have their Cat C, Digital Tacho Card and up to date Drivers CPC
• Have a good area knowledge
• Knowledge Health and Safety rules and procedures
• There is a requirement to undertake training and to achieve competence in aspects of the job
