Be Personnel is delighted to be supporting their highly reputable Maltings client who have been established since 1823 with their current recruitment needs.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Process Operator to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the production processes within their facility, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently.

This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Working minimum 40.5 hours per week, on a shift pattern that will include nights, and holidays are restricted during the harvest period.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify any issues or maintenance needs
  • Maintain accurate records of production data, including quantities produced and any discrepancies
  • Transfer of grain between vessels as required
  • Intake and dress Barley to requirements
  • Operation and monitoring of wastewater treatment facility
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards throughout the production process.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail and ability to follow instructions meticulously
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment is advantageous
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts (essential)
  • Having some previous experience of grain transference, or within a production environment would be advantageous
