Our Client, a hugely successful family business producing dairy products, has opportunities available for Process Operators in their Cowdenbeath site.

Successful Process Operators will benefit from:

  • Long term work opportunities, initially working on an agency contract basis however providing standards are met these positions are expected to lead to permanent contracts
  • Steady hours working 5 days out of 7
  • 6am - 2.30pm / 2pm - 10.30pm rotating
  • A starting pay rate of £13.00 ph while in training and £15.20 ph following completion
  • Overtime paid at 1.5x standard rate above contracted hours
  • Weekly attendance bonus of £20 after successfully completing training
  • Training within a supportive environment
  • Refer a Friend scheme while working via Be Personnel

As a Process Operator you will receive raw milk into processing area

Key tasks include although are not limited to:

  • Management of raw milk sampling for quality assurance testing
  • Safe and accurate connections of tanker Raw milk into designated external Silos
  • Management of external CIP system including management of chemicals used in processing
  • Carry out cleaning (use of chemicals) of all plant and associated equipment and environment before during and after production
  • Pasteurising raw milk and cream, adjusting as necessary and sampling for quality assurance testing
  • Basic mechanical support skills. (i.e. changing seals on homogenising equipment)
  • Accurate and timely completion of production logs
  • The testing of products in accordance with work instructions
  • CIP and manual cleaning and the completion of these logs
  • Timely reporting of all equipment faults to engineering staff
  • Ensuring any wastage is handled appropriately and company procedures are adhered to
  • Maintaining product quality and hygiene standards

We would love to hear from experienced Process Operatives who:

  • Have a Food Hygiene certificate
  • Have a degree of physical capability to be able to work within a role where manual handling is involved
  • Are numerate, with good communication skills
  • Ideally have an understanding of the dairy industry however this is not essential
