HGV Class 2 Driver

£15.05 per hour starting rate rising to £15.95 once trained.

Our client a successful family owned business based in Alness, providing and supporting "working green" service throughout the Highlands and beyond, are looking for an HGV Driver to join their dedicated team.

The successful candidate will be driving a range of vehicles, including skip lorries with trailers, bin lorries and road sweepers, although experience would be preferred, full training will also be provided.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Keeping any company vehicle driven, clean and suitable for the next person
• Conduct daily vehicle walk round checks, reporting any defects or potential problems
• Take reasonable care of your own and other people’s health and safety
• Providing clients with a high level of customer service
• Be prepared for some manual handling and at times heavy lifting

The ideal candidate should:

• Have a maximum of 3 points on their driving licence
• Completed 35 hours Driver CPC Training and have their Digital Tacho Card
• Have clear communication skills, being able to build rapport with clients and team mates alike
• Be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work and perform any reasonable requests asked of you.

As part of the onboarding process, candidates will also undergo a full disclosure check.

Starting wage is £15.05, rising to £15.95 per hour once trained, on going CPC will also be funded by the employer.

Overtime after 40 hours per week.
