Be Personnel is delighted to be supporting our Client, a rapidly expanding company producing popcorn and crisp products based in Errol, Perthshire, to recruit Machine Operatives with immediate start dates available!

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Production Line Setup: Responsible for setting up the production line as per the production plan, including weigh scale calibration, preparing packaging, inputting correct data for printers, organizing labels, and verifying data with QC before starting the run
  • Quality Control: Check seal integrity and product quality throughout each production run, perform hourly metal detector checks, and provide sample packs to QC at the start of each run.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain all records and check sheets related to machine operation, ensure all production records are accurate, and submit completed paperwork to the team leader at the end of each shift.
  • Maintenance Reporting: Report any maintenance issues to the team leader and record them on the production sheet.
  • Hygiene and Cleanliness: Clean all equipment before starting production runs, clean print heads and rollers weekly, ensure thorough cleaning between product changes, and maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the line and surrounding areas at all times.

  • Have previous experience of working within a food production or other fast moving goods production environment
  • Has ability to work within a manual role
  • Has excellent attention to details and commitment to quality
  • Has fantastic communication skills and ability to work within a team
  • Can follow instructions while also being able to work independently
  • Is reliable, with an excellent work ethic
  • Has own transport due to location

Machine Operatives will work on a temporary, ongoing agency contract basis with hours of work being 6am to 6pm, from Monday to Thursday. The standard rate of pay will be £12.24 per hour and overtime paid at £18.36 per hour.
