HGV Class 2 Winter Driver (BE10642) - Kyle of Lochalsh

Our client one of the largest road maintenance companies across Scotland are looking for additional Frontline Operatives (HGV Driver & Labourer) based within the Ardelve area of Kyle of Lochalsh.

Accommodation available (with no charge to the candidate).

This role will have a 3 weekly pattern outlined below:

Week 1 - Dayshift working between the hours of 0800 - 1630 standby will also be required out with these times which will include weekends

Week 2 - Nightshift working between the hours of 1930 - 0600 Monday to Thursday with a stand by requirement on Friday Saturday & Sunday

Week 3 - Day Shift (spare) normal working hours of 0800 - 1630 with no standby requirements

This will then go back to Week 1.

Frontline Operatives is a dual role of some of the following duties:

• General road maintenance (pot hole filling etc)
• Gully cleaning
• Gritting Roads

The main aim of this role is to ensure that all routes are a safe as possible throughout our Scottish Winters.

Previous experience welcomed however full training given.

Drivers must have:

• Cat C Licence
• Drivers CPC
• Digital Tacho Card

Pay Structure:

• Dayshift £12.75 per hour for 40 hours per week £19.13 paid for overtime
• Nightshift £16.57 per hour for 40 hours per week £29.84 per hour
• Monday to Friday Stand By £11.00 per day
• Saturday £23.25
• Sunday £31.60
• Enhanced rates for Public Holidays, Christmas and New Year

Inductions and training for this role will start mid October and this role is due to run until end of April 2025.
