Meat Processing Assistant (Backshift) (BE10639) - Ardgay, Bonar Bridge

Our client a successful family-run business, boasting over 40 years of trade within the industry is currently looking for a Backshift Meat Processing Assistant, based in Ardgay.

Transport would be available from Golspie, and along the route to site.

The key purpose of this role will be to support the processing operations during the night shift, to ensure of a dynamic and successful operation.

The working hours would be 1400 - 2200 however client can also be flexible with the times to suit for the right person.

Main Duties (may not be limited to):

• Assist in the processing of food products according to company standard
• Loading and unloading of vans/lorries upon arrival, inspecting for any damage or discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies
• Store all goods into the correct designated areas
• Conduct quality checks on processed items
• Cleaning of processing areas and equipment, which will include scrubbing of preparation tables, use of power washers and ensuring the production area is ready for the next day

No previous experience necessary as full training will be provided, however there are some key attributed preferred for this role as outlined below.

Experience/Attributes:

• Experience in food production is advantageous
• Understanding of food safety practices and regulations again advantageous but not essential
• Ability to work within a fast paced environment
• Attention to details, and can work to a high standard
• Punctual and reliable

This position is due to start Mid-September and will continue for the right person until the end of February 2025, however, our client is always also looking for talented individuals to join their team on a permanent basis.
