Be Personnel is delighted to be supporting our Client, a rapidly expanding company producing popcorn and crisp products based in Errol, Perthshire, to recruit Production Operatives with immediate start dates available!

As a Production Operative, you will have the opportunity to work within a thriving site, while being responsible for carrying out general process activities, including packing, inspecting products prior to packing and labelling.

Key responsibilities will include although not be limited to:

  • Product Inspection: Inspect finished products on the picking table to meet customer requirements.
  • Food Safety & Quality: Maintain food safety, legality, product integrity, and quality at all times.
  • Packing & Labelling: Pack bags into cardboard boxes, erect cardboard boxes and lids, and label finished goods accurately.
  • Data Recording: Ensure all data is recorded accurately and paperwork is handed in to the shift leader at the end of the shift.
  • Workstation Maintenance: Keep your workstation clean and tidy at all times.
  • Compliance: Carry out any reasonable management requests and report any contamination or out-of-specification products.
  • Factory Cleaning: Participate in the weekly cleaning of all machinery and fabrication.
  • Clean as You Go: Maintain a clean and hygienic environment during production hours.
  • Product Changeovers: Ensure raw materials (e.g., cases, tape) are stored away tidily during product changeovers.
  • Area Cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of your line and surrounding areas at all times.

We would love to hear from candidates who:

  • Have previous experience of working within a food production or other fast moving goods production environment
  • Has ability to work within a manual role
  • Has excellent attention to details and commitment to quality
  • Has fantastic communication skills and ability to work within a team
  • Can follow instructions while also being able to work independently
  • Is reliable, with an excellent work ethic
  • Has own transport due to location

Production Operatives will work on a temporary, ongoing agency contract basis with hours of work being 06:00-18:00 Monday to Thursday. The standard rate of pay will be £11.47 per hour and overtime paid at £17.21 per hour.
