Industrial Painter (BE10592) - Edinburgh

Our client one of Scotland's leading roads maintenance and management companies currently have a need for additional Industrial Painters (Major Bridges) working on the Forth Road Bridge Queensferry.

Reporting to the maintenance supervisor the main purpose of this role will be to carry out blasting and painting tasks to specified sector scheme standards, cyclic maintenance as required as part of department routine schedule.

This would be for a minimum 6 months with the potential of a permanent job offer.

Main Duties:

• Carry out blasting and painting tasks.
• Assist maintenance team in bespoke access installation/removal.
• Carry out cyclic maintenance tasks within own team.
• Rescue Team participation.
• Adhere to Health & Safety legislation.
• Operation of bridge access systems (gantries).
• Assist other trades as required.

The ideal candidate should:

• Have an in date ICATS card - Applicator module.
• Be in possession of a ICATS card – Blasting/spraying modules.
• Have the ability to work to strict deadlines.
• Be able to work as part of composite team as required,
• Comfortable and able to work at height as well as confined spaces
• Have full approved UK driving licence.
