Factory Foreman (BE10584) - Isle Of Islay

Our client a leading and established Shellfish exporter is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Scallop Factory Foreman to join our team.

The Isle Of Islay is renowned for their wonderful clean, clear waters and breathtaking scenery.

Accommodation would also be available for those looking to re-locate into the area.

Main Duties (not limited to):

• Oversee daily operations of the Scallop processing facility, ensuring smooth and efficient production
• Manage a team of workers, including hiring, training, and scheduling
• Monitor and maintain quality control standards to ensure that all products meet industry regulations and customer expectations
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a safe working environment
• Ensure of clear communications between other departments such as procurement and logistics, to ensure timely delivery of products
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery, coordinating repairs and maintenance as needed
• Keep accurate records of production, inventory, and employee performance
• Any other duties as per management instruction

Skills/Requirements:

• Previous experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a seafood processing environment, however from other environments will also be considered
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
• Knowledge of scallop processing techniques and industry standards
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet production targets
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
