Be Personnel Ltd is currently working with their long-standing client assisting them with the successful appointment of a Process Development Manager (Maternity Cover) based within their site in Arbroath.

The successful site Process Development Manager will report into the NPD Manager and ensure that all products approved by Customers are developed with a formals process, delivered cost effectively, and successfully launched. The successful candidate will also support in designing new ‘1st to market’ products aligned to the business strategy.

This role is based Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. With a salary bracket dependent on experience of £30,000 - £36,000 per annum.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the generation of new sales opportunities to ensure company growth and brand image
  • Product Presentations - promoting the status of the business as a leading market innovator.
  • Successfully securing the progress of new products/concepts.
  • Trials – in collaboration with other functions delivery of factory and pre-production trials for all NPD and EPD product launches.
  • Presenting all trial data to the relevant Teams
  • Complete Factory Trial visits on Site
  • Product launches - ensure successful launches of new products including trials, communication, pre-production runs, functional review meetings and all relevant documentation
  • Process development - support/work alongside relevant stakeholders from concept stage to product launch
  • Samples – creation, preparation and sending of product samples as requested by the business.
  • NPD Kitchen - ensure kitchen is maintained and equipped to the standards required to fulfil the role.

  • Basic understanding of Food Production Principals and Practices.
  • Understanding of the principals and practice of food safety and maintenance within a food-manufacturing environment.
  • Awareness of food fashions, new ingredients, and trends.
  • Experience working with major food retailers
  • Ability to discuss and demonstrate new products, product attributes and process to customers and consumers.
