Mechanical Engineer (BE687) - Scourie

Our Client, Loch Duart, based in Scourie, has an opportunity available Mechanical Engineer to join their team.

Due to location applicants must have their own Transport.

The successful candidate will report to the Engineering Manager, responsible for the maintenance, repair and specification of all equipment.

As Engineer your responsibilities will include:

• Maintain and repair of both Sea & Fresh Water machinery and equipment
• Ensuring all boats and lifting equipment meet the standard required by both company and regulation (Sea and Freah Water)
• Advise on equipment and when these may need renewing and purchased
• Liasioning with both Fresh and Sea Water staff
• Working to budgets and working towards cost savings
• Maintaining adequate levels of spare parts, materials, and other equipment.

We would love to speak to candidates for this Engineer role with the following skills and experience:

• A recognised Engineering qualification such as ONC / HNC / HND.
• A Mechanical bias, ideally with Electrical knowledge (IEE wiring qualification desirable)
• Experience from within the manufacturing/production industries
• The ability to work within a fast paced, deadline driven environment
• Flexibility in respect of working shifts which will include weekends
