A leading supplier in Lime Mortar, with live research projects, ongoing testing and R & D with key suppliers across Europe. They offer a comprehensive colour matching service from their fully equipped lab, as well as over 400 “off the shelf” colours via their Colour pack system.

Job Description:

To be able to accurately follow a set of instructions, using batch sheets, and to manufacture materials to a consistently high standard. All manufactured materials must pass the internal quality control and be suitable for customers’ requirements, before being collected or dispatched to the customer.

Monday to Friday, with working hours falling between 08:00 and 17:30.

Key duties will include:

  • Being able to work productively in a dusty environment and to be able to adapt to varying workflow week to week during the year, as this is a seasonal business
  • To assemble customers’ orders in the yard and production areas so they are ready for uplift and collection which may require the use of a manual pump truck or counterbalance forklift truck.
  • Reading batch sheets carefully, getting the correct components, weighing them accurately and mixing them together to produce various products. Attention to detail is key.
  • Ensuring all stock is safely stored and protected against the weather whilst monitoring the stock levels and advising the supervisor or manager to ensure levels are maintained and re-orded in a timely manner.
  • Rotation of old stock to ensure no wastage and to deal with damages effectively and promptly. To make sure that work is prioritised to maximise efficient turnaround of correctly manufactured orders
  • Assist with stock checking and other relevant administrative duties as required, ensuring compliance with all health and safety obligations.

You will report to the production Director and have responsibility for ensuring your own safety and that of others working or visiting the production and yard areas. You will be required to operate manual and automated equipment both for small bag and bulk bag production, which involves repetitive tasks.

You will also be trained on several processes and various pieces of equipment that are key to the business. Further training will be provided, examples being forklift truck training and first aid training, which the employee will be expected to undertake.

  • Forklift Truck Licence (Desirable)
