A number of exciting opportunities have arisen with our Client, a food manufacturing company which has been established for over 30 years and serves the global market producing a wide range of vegan foods.

Based on the beautiful Isle of Bute, the business is one of the regions premier employers and great business success stories, being the islands single largest employer where many of the employees have worked for over 20 years.

With long term, ambitious plans to further expand the operation, including with products in to the plant based market all over the world, the business is looking for Warehouse Operatives to join their enthusiastic team.

Working on a permanent basis and with excellent long term career development opportunity available, this role would be ideal for those already living on the island as well as those wishing to re-locate.

Responsibilities, duties & requirements

  • Operating production Line packing equipment
  • Filling and taping boxes with products
  • Recoding all results correctly, neatly and on time
  • Receiving and storing materials and goods
  • Packaging goods ready for dispatch and shipment to customers
  • Lifting and handling materials with a delicate approach


Skills and experience

  • Ideally have experience of working within as similar role however supportive training will be provided
  • Ability to work quickly and methodically whilst following detailed procedures
  • Be able to maintain detailed written records which include arithmetic
  • Have an awareness of Health and Safety
  • Have a willingness to work flexibly across the business and in respect of working hours


The Warehouse Operatives will work 30 to 40 hours per week, with 10 hour shifts set over 3 to 4 days. Morning shifts fall between 6.00 am – 5.30pm and afternoon shifts 12.00pm - 21.00pm or when daily production has finished. While shifts are typically set between Monday to Friday, occasional weekend work is possible along with additional shifts being available on request.
