Shellfish Farm Operative (Be10358) - Kyle of Tongue

Be Personnel has a number of opportunities available for Beach Site Workers to join our Client’s expanding team based in Kyle of Tongue.

As a Beach site worker you will benefit from:

• A rate of £14.50 p/h
• 40h per week
• Full time, steady work – working 5 days out of 7, falling between Monday to Sunday 6.00am – 6.00pm (Tide dependant)

As a Beach Site Worker, you could be working at various stages of the process to harvest Oysters which includes:

• Grading and husbandry of oyster bags, yard & equipment cleaning/washing
• Telehandler and Oyster carrying dumper driving
• Vehicle inspections, filling fuel tanks, checking water & oil
• Machinery checks, greasing of bearings and equipment repairs
• Attending training and develop relevant knowledge and skills

We would love to hear from candidates who ideally have experience of working within a food processing/manufacturing environment or on fish/shellfish farms, have knowledge of tides and are comfortable with working outside in all weather conditions. However, those with a flexible attitude, excellent work ethic and experience of working within another manual type of role may also be considered.

The Beach Site Workers should have an enthusiastic "can do" approach to work and a degree of physical capability, as there is some lifting involved in this position.

Due to the location of the site, a driving licence and own transport is essential.
