Processing Operative (Oyster Farm) (BE10248) - Cairndow

Our Client, a successful processor of ethically sourced quality Scottish seafood and smoked salmon products based in Cairndow, near Dunoon, has an opportunity available for a Processing Operative to join their Aquaculture team in the Oyster Farm and work on a full time basis.

As a Food Production Operative you will benefit from:

• A competitive rate of £10.72 per hour
• Opportunity for overtime which is paid at 1.5x standard rate
• Steady hours set between Monday to Thursday 7am to 4pm and and 7am to 1pm on Fridays
• Part-time hours also available ( Monday and Wednesday)
• Full training within a supportive team environment

As a Processing Operative you will assist with a day to day operation of the Oyster Farm and Depuration Centre, carry out cleaning duties throughout the site, operating equipment for processing and packing of shellfish. The role will involve a combination of working outside in all weather conditions, as well as inside the Oyster Farm and Depuration Centre.

The ideal candidates will have:

• Experience of working within a similar role preferable but not essential
• The ability to work within a deadline driven environment
• Flexibility due to occasional weekend work and early starts / late finishes when required
• An excellent work ethic, being punctual and reliable
• A degree of physical capability as this role will involve manual handling and working in all weather conditions

Full driving license and your own transport would be beneficial due to working requirements of the role
