Our client are a family run local bakery who are looking to expand their team with the recruitment of a Confectionary Assistant & Bakery Assistant based within Smithton, Inverness.Our client offers job security, an immediate start, training, PPE and progression.The key duties for this role include but are not limited to:

• Assisting with baking of goods
• Icing and filling cakes
• Making of creams and fillings
• Slicing Bread
• Slicing meats (cooked) for pie and sandwich fillings
• Cleaning of work area and ensuring of H & S at all times

The successful candidate should demonstrate:

• Excellent communication skills
• A degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Flexibility to work additional hours, as and when required
• Ability to work well as part of a team

As a Bakery & Confectionary Assistant you will benefit from:

• A pay rate of £10.50 per hour (starting rate) this may increase once bedded into the position, £15.25 paid for overtime (after 39 hours per week) & £21.00 per hour if working on Saturday
• Full time position, working Monday - Friday 06.15am - 2.45pm (1 x day per week will finish 1 hour early). May also be asked to work Saturday in line with business needs
• Full training
• The opportunity to learn other aspects of the business, with the option to progress and develop within the company, also after initial probation period the hourly rate will also be revised.
